BLOGOUT \BLOCK-out\, verb : An event where we want to gather bloggers passionate about using this new independent voice, and new emergent forms of technology, to create change for their organizations, their communities, and their society.

Theme:
Based on Naked Conversations: Where we explore how organizations are using blogs to communicate their message! And also how these new voices, and other emergent forms of technology, like Twitter are allowing the formation of more and more communities!

Some basic info:
Date: 24th May, 2007, Thursday
Place: Geek Terminal (55 Market street - opposite golden show carpark)
Time: 6:30pm - 10:30pm

Thanks to contributions from all over the blogosphere on how to make the event really useful+fun (special thanks to Bill, Kevin, James, Walter), we have more or less settled on a finalized program!

We kickstart with a number by Genie, the singing blogger babe!

6:30pm - 7.30 : Panel Discussion
Topic: The New Voice For Change
We have invited 3 distinguished bloggers to join our panel; Preetam (part of Global Voices), Debbie (Marketing Magazine), and from Microsoft!

7.30 pm - 9.00 pm: BlogOut Cafe: Encouraging Interaction and Formation of Communities!
Based on the concept of The World Cafe (www.theworldcafe.com) , this will be a set of short round table discussions that will take place simultaneously helping us all to get to know each other better while we share perspectives about issues and topics that matter. Read more

9.00 pm - 10.00 pm: Summary + Networking!
The event will culminate with each facilitator giving a 5 minute talk to summarize and bring up interesting points of what his/her table had been discussing.Tablecloth made of paper will also allow for scribbling of ideas. Paper will also be pinned up on the walls so one can scribble their thoughts.

Throughout the session, we will have live twittering, chatting, flickr-ing, and a blog roll as well. Everything is really going to be interactive and spontaneous!

    :) i love my comics. Ooohh the venue is yet to be listed yet because we haven’t decided. Probably geek terminal, if all the details work out well. But we’re 90% positive :)
