The Christmas season is coming and First Meta has some very bold plans coming up, and with great plans come great requirements. Hence, they are now on the hunt for some cool and funky talents! If you are looking for a job that is non-conventional, different and fast-paced, check out the e-mail below from Aileen, CTO of First Meta :)

Cheers,

Hi Guys,

First Meta is expanding so we’re looking for more people to join our team.
If you want (or know someone who wants) to be part of a high-growth start-up
participating in an exciting market that is growing at 600% a year, read on.
What positions are available?

We need people for tech, sales, marketing, biz dev, operations etc. (If
you’re not sure what you want to do, just email me anyway. There’s always
room for good people.)

For developers, a note from our CTO:

We are primarily using the LAMP stack (P being PHP in this case) for our
systems. However, we do NOT specifically need “LAMP coders” with an ungodly
number of years of experience and a degree or two to top it all of. We need
“good coders” and “great hackers” who are motivated, flexible and
resourceful. We need people who are not afraid to explore new technologies
and learn on the job. We definitely want people who has coded as a hobby.
Not having a social life will be a plus (kidding).

What are you looking for? Will I fit in?
We don’t care about:
- what prior work experience you have
- your CAP / class of honors
- your field of study

We want people who are/can:
- Highly entrepreneurial, have high risk propensity (We ARE a
start-up after all.)
- Creative, good at problem-solving and resourceful
- Driven, highly motivated and hardworking as hell - We don’t care
what time you come into work or what time you go off, as long as the work
gets done. But be prepared to work your bones off.
- Step up and “get things done”
- Work independently without much supervision
- Willing to take on responsibilities, be in charge and be
accountable for them

So why join First Meta?

Because we rock. No, seriously. Since incorporation in Feb this year, we’ve
hit every single milestone that we set out to hit. In under 6 months, we
raised 2 rounds of funding, built out our management team, and launched the
product on time. We’ve been live for almost 3 months now, have hundreds of
customers, and gotten the attention of several A-list VCs and international
press coverage. In September alone, we were featured in TechCrunch, WIRED,
BBC, BusinessWeek, London Times Online etc. Oh yes, and we were one of 4
Singapore companies to win Red Herring 100 Asia this year. :)

All that aside, you’ll be working with cool people in a fun environment.
Don’t take my word for it. Experience it for yourself.

And of course, you’ll be doing something that would change the world. (I’ll
explain why if you buy me coffee.)

If all these sound exciting to you, send your resume to ziqi@firstmeta.com
and tell in not more than 3 sentences how you’re exceptional.

Sincerely,
Aileen
