Hey guys! Our very good friend Michael has just recently formed the Singapore PHP Group, its a community that is open to all who are both experienced and inexperienced in PHP. So even if you don’t know anything about PHP but have a keen interest to find out more, this group is the place.
In fact, they’re having their very first meet-up next week. Its an opportunity for everyone to meet other PHP programmers from the island and see what cool stuff they’ve done (or can be done). There is even a PHP101 session for PHP illiterates like myself to get kickstarted.
Details of the meet-up are as follows:
Date: Wednesday, November 14, 2007
Time: 7:30pm - 10:30pm
Location: Singapore Management University (SMU), School of Information Systems, Seminar Rm 2.2 (level 2)
Don’t forget to RSVP by e-mailing your Name and NRIC to Michael at meetup[at]php.com.sg ! Its needed by SMU for security purposes.
I really gotta give a heads up to Michael for taking the initiative to organize and form such a group. Its not easy to form a Special Interest Group from scratch especially with a tight budget.
Hope to see the group grow and infiltrate the island with some geeky PHP knowledge and skills soon. :)
Cheers,
Su Yuen (Bitbot)

Hi Suyuen,
Many thanks. We’re looking forward to a huge turn out… ok lah - 30 or so. :D
*** Just one note, SMU requires all attendee’s Name and NRIC / passport number (actually only for non-SMU students / staff). Do email me with your name and ID number at meetup [at] php.com.sg. This is on top of the Facebook / Meetup.com RSVP. ***
A quick shout-out to the Object-Oriented Programming Society of SMU for helping us get the venue! ^_^v
