The Digital Movement was at iX the whole of today and it was amazing! Got up so super early to go down to help with the set up. It was pretty smooth running. You can get a great summary of this event through Jeremiah Owyang’s blog. We finally got to meet him in person!! He did a great job in helping us live blog about the events of today. Do check out his weblog! Very insightful and very thought provoking.
The Digital Movement is the new media partner of iX conference this time around and kudos to Bill Claxton for helping to plug us into this event. Besides creating 2 way conversations (aka Live Chat, Twitter), we also brought the new media contingent into iX as well.
Here are 3 amazingly well constructed links about what happened:
- Live Webcasting by Kevin Lim
- Live Blogging by Bernard Leong
- Live Speaker’s Perspective By Jeremiah
Returning to the event, it was great to hear speakers from Adobe (Michael Downey), Microsoft (Louis Broome) and New Media BC’s Lynda Brown share their insights. I’m also especially grateful to Lynda for talking with Raine and I about BlueStocking. It’s a not for profit organization that we want to set up to connect female entrepreneurs (esp. those interested in tech and new media) together. Females are always under represented in the digital space so we believe that Blue Stocking can be a medium through which we can marry new media, technology and the passion for making things happen.
I’m really proud of TDM as a team — indeed we have come very far — the best is yet to be!
More details, pictures and all to be up very soon!
Later Skater!

These are all well and nice.
It’s an irony that all the logs of contribution by the community in the chatroom is seemly the lowest priority, sigh.
Perhaps TDM shld review other more appropriate tools where all past discussions are automatically archived and can be retrieved / back-referenced at a click of a link.

In any case, this is the perhaps the 1st conference in Singapore that feature the use of online chat, side-by-side formal presentations by speakers, therefore, some rough edges can be pardoned.
Well done, guys and keep up the great work. I look forward to more innovation from TDM :)

Hey!
Where is the video of the panel at the gala dinner? I can’t wait to see it.
Also as a suggestion, it would be great if there was some organization on the site so archives of past events can be accessed and people can find relevant content through content categorization.

Edit>> Sorry, I notice the archives now. I feel silly.
